What Is an NFL Survivor Pool?
An NFL Survivor pool, also called a knockout or last man standing pool, is a season-long game among friends, coworkers or family. Each week, every player picks one NFL team they think will win.
If your team wins, you survive and move on to the next week. If it loses, you are eliminated. The pool continues until one player remains.
The standard rules
- One pick per entry each week, made before that week's deadline.
- You can only use each team once per season, so you have to plan ahead and save strong teams for later.
- A winning pick keeps you alive; a losing pick eliminates you.
- Some pools allow buybacks or re-entry. That is a house rule, and the commissioner decides how it works.
PoolZone gives commissioners the tools to run the pool. Rules, entry fees and any payouts stay between you and your players.
