What Is an NFL Squares Pool?

NFL Squares is a game among friends, coworkers or family built around a 10x10 grid of 100 squares. Each player holds one or more squares.

The rows and columns are labeled with the digits 0 through 9, one set for each team in a game. The last digit of each team's score picks the matching row and column, and the player who owns that square wins.

How the board plays

  • Squares are assigned to players, and the row and column numbers are randomly generated for the week's game.
  • Example: a home score of 24 and away score of 17 points to the square at home row 4 and away column 7.
  • Many groups also check scores at quarters or halftime. That is a house rule, and the commissioner decides it.
  • PoolZone records weekly final-game results.

PoolZone gives commissioners the tools to run the pool. Entry fees and any payouts are handled between you and your players.
